I spend most of my week at eXcellerated supporting our local business and residential customers, but I recently took on a different kind of "service call"—upgrading my son’s car for his 16th birthday.

Making "dumb" cars smart has been a fun hobby of mine for over 20 years. We integrated a modern smart display and backup camera to bring this vehicle's tech up to 2026 standards.

While eXcellerated doesn't offer automotive services, I’ve always believed that the best IT pros are the ones who genuinely love taking things apart to make them work better. Whether I’m optimizing a home Wi-Fi network or securing a business server, the principle is the same: clean wiring, secure connections, and a seamless user experience.

I've been working hard on promotion to grow eXcellerated. Building a customer base in a new area has proven to be harder than when I initially launched the business 14 years ago. I attribute this to the lifelong connections that I had in Delco, versus being transplanted during the pandemic.

If you're local to the Southern Chester County, or Western Delaware County area, please give us a like and share to help get our names out there to the masses. Once word of mouth starts to hit, we'll start to grow more rapidly. In the meantime I'll keep pounding the pavement, and knocking on doors - virtually of course.

While we never never stopped supporting our existing customer base, We had paused promoting and expanding our business to new customers during the pandemic.

We are officially re-open for business and are looking to expand to new residential or commercial. We are happy to provide sales and support in the Chester County, Western Delco and North Western Delaware areas, as well as remote support nationally. We've recently started offering a new service helping people cut the cord with their cable TV providers and go to Streaming TV. Windows 10 has been released! Did you know that this software is available as a free upgrade from Microsoft to most consumers currently running Windows 7, 8 or 8.1?

Great experience setting up the first Ubiquiti access point in the firehouse tonight (aside from dealing with running lines above ceiling tiles and insulation.) We bought 3 long range models for expanded coverage with cinder block walls, but actually have the place almost fully covered with one. Don't worry, I'll be back to install the rest but in the meantime enjoy the new tech! IT Friends, if you are looking for a near Enterprise solution with a residential price tag, give them a look.

This is very real and very serious Malware that is hitting many machines on the internet right now. If you have Pictures, Videos or and Documents on your machine (as almost everyone does) back them up right away to a USB Hard Drive or Thumb Drive. As of right now, if this software gets on your computer there is no way of getting the data decrypted short of paying the $100-$300 Ransom in the 72 hours allotted to you by the software. I am researching this further but wanted to warn you of this as I'd hate to see anyone lose irreplaceable pictures, videos or documents.

Not so with the CryptoLocker next-gen ransomware, which uses a public key to encrypt a variety of file types such as images, documents and spreadsheets.

Are your kids heading back to college this week? Is their computer ready for another year of non-stop research with the occasional Facebook update or viewing the occasional YouTube Video? If their computer is less than 4 years old and you're thinking of rushing out to get a new model, STOP and give us a call. A lot of everyday complaints can be resolved and their computers running like new much cheaper then shelling out another $500+ on a new machine. The internal technologies haven't changed that dramatically in the past 4-5 years. Don't tell the "Geeks" at that store in Springfield that I shared this with you as I wouldn't want a gang of Blue shirted pimply faced kids showing up at my door.
