✨DIY website or hire a designer?✨

Honestly, it depends on the season your business is in.

If you’re just starting out, DIY can be a really smart way to get yourself online without a huge investment.

But if your website no longer reflects your business, you’re tired of tweaking it, or it’s not helping people understand what you do… that might be your sign it’s time for support.

And there’s a middle ground too: templates, template customization, or a design day can give you a more polished site without making it a giant months-long project.

Your website doesn’t need to be the fanciest thing on the internet.

It just needs to be clear, intentional, and actually helpful for your business.

✨Steal this color palette✨

For this calm doula-inspired palette, I wanted the colors to feel soft, warm, and supportive without making the website feel too busy.

Sometimes using less is what makes everything feel more cohesive and professional.

I like to think of each color as having its own little job. One for your main background, one for contrast, one for buttons, one for softer accent sections, and so on.

That way your website still feels branded, but not overwhelming.
And of course, we have to keep accessibility in mind too. Some color combinations look really pretty together, but they don’t always have enough contrast for text or buttons.

So yes, your colors should feel beautiful and aligned with your brand, but they also need to be easy to read and easy to use.

That’s where the magic is.

Some projects just click—where the vision, the brand, and the experience all come together so seamlessly.

I recently had the opportunity to bring Redmond Functional Health to life through a full brand and website design.

For this project, I created a complete brand identity, including custom illustrated icons, multiple logo variations, color palette, and font pairings, along with a custom 8-page website designed to feel as thoughtful and supportive as the care Rachel and her team (aka the dream team 😉) provides.

Every detail was intentionally crafted to reflect a calm, elevated experience rooted in connection and trust.
