When Megan came to me to build the brand for Stillwaters, she wasn’t just looking for a logo. She was building something deeply personal, a space to support women through mental healthcare with compassion, dignity, and trust.

My role was to listen first, help her fulfill her vision, and then expand on it. To understand her story and the feeling she wanted women to experience, from their first interaction with the brand to each visit in her office.

Inspired by Megan’s story and her goals, I recognized the need for a space like this for women. Having moved beyond the shame of my own mental health challenges, I wanted to help her create something that would empower others to feel seen, supported, and understood.

It’s an honor to help bring meaningful businesses like this to life, especially ones creating real impact for women in our community.

Along with design post last week, I’m so incredibly proud of the brand strategy and messaging that I developed for , I had to share more.

🌊 Stillwaters was never meant to feel clinical.
It was meant to feel like a deep breath.

✨ From the very beginning, this project started with strategy, then aesthetics.

✨ We built the brand around a clear positioning:

- The only women-focused psychiatry practice in Northwest Indiana
- Integrative with holistic care
- Upscale, but approachable
- Clinical excellence, without the coldness

✨The brand needed to:
- Destigmatize women’s mental health
- Feel restorative, not sterile
- Support a personalized, membership-based care model
- Create cohesion across every touchpoint

✨We intentionally leaned into:
- Earthy, creek-inspired tones
- Clay, cream, soft teal, light pink, and muted gold to create elevated warmth
- A color palette positioned to be different than her competitors

✨Typography that feels refined yet human

A serif with softness for headers, imperfect sans serif for sub headers, paired with clean, modern body text to balance approachability and credibility

✨Imperfect, organic forms + ripple

Representing healing, wholeness, and the quiet impact one woman’s restoration can create.

✨ Voice pillars rooted in honesty and restoration

“You don’t have to have it all together to take care of yourself.” 

✨ Every detail, from the logo mark to the welcome card to the brochure, was designed to reinforce one core idea:

A sanctuary for women. Where you are seen, supported, and restored.

✨This is what happens when branding isn’t just about looking beautiful, it’s about building a system that supports the mission, business goals, and lived experience of the women it serves.

So proud to share the brand story behind Stillwaters Women’s Mental Wellness 🤍

This project was about more than visuals, it was about creating a feeling: calm, safety, empowering, warmth, and trust in a space that often feels intimidating and clinical.

At Region Design Co., I led the brand strategy and visual identity, designing a cohesive brand system rooted in compassion and clarity. From the logo and iconography to print pieces, packaging, and overall brand direction, every touchpoint was intentionally crafted to support women before they ever walk through the door.

To bring the brand fully to life, I collaborated with an incredible creative team:

✨ Web Design: Gabrielle Pazour of Avenue Bee Studio translated the brand into a warm, intuitive web experience; thoughtfully guiding visitors through services, care expectations, online bookings, and a shop with ease.

✨ Brand Photography: Amelia Kowalisyn of .amelia captured the heart of Stillwaters through imagery that feels human, grounded, and welcoming; perfectly reflecting the mission behind the practice.

is now booking in-person and virtual appointments, and I’m so excited to see this practice continue to grow and serve women across Indiana.

This is the kind of work I love most, designing fully branded experiences that support meaningful missions and help purpose-driven businesses connect more deeply with the people they serve.

A special thank-you to Darrin and Jennie Lee Riddle, whose vision to “turn up the lights” has brought new life and light to downtown La Porte through A Whole World of Good and now Studio 7:14.

Studio 7:14, located at 714 Lincolnway, is a faith-based wellness studio offering biblical counseling, infrared sauna sessions, PEMF therapy, restorative movement, and a curated apothecary. While grounded in a biblical worldview, the studio welcomes everyone, focusing on whole-person wellness — body, mind, and spirit — as they were designed to work together.

We are open Monday–Friday, 7:14 a.m.–7:14 p.m. Visitors are invited to stop by and tour the space throughout the week as part of A Whole World of Good’s five-year anniversary celebration.
