Engineered Salinity - ESal

Engineered Salinity - ESal ESal is focused on improving worldwide recovery from 32% to >60%. By utilizing cutting edge science

Geoffrey Thyne, Chief Technology Officer of Engineered Salinity (ESal), speaks to how the old way of drilling a new hole and exploring for more oil may be more of a challenge than it's ever been.

Because even while the need for oil isn't going away anytime soon, the fact remains that traditional methods of extraction still leave behind 65% of oil in a reservoir. That's a staggering amount compounded over a 150-year period.

With that in mind, something's got to give and got to change with the oil and gas industry's method of oil recovery. Fast. Especially with the kind of oil that remains to be accessed without drilling another hole. Enter the extraordinary methodology, science and tools of ESal to unlock your firm's massive potential.

Check out the end of this video to see how you can arrange a special screening of an oilfield through Engineered Salinity today. For the bottom line revenue and your key stakeholders, you will be so very glad you did.

You can spend a lot of years and a lot of money until, one day, you finally discover whether or not a well is profitable (and by how much). Or you can find that out a whole lot closer to the present day with Engineered Salinity.

Using our proprietary methodology, ESal can identify the "sweet spot" of neutral wettability - that golden zone that tells you how much more oil you can recover over time from the well right where you stand.

Don't keep drilling new wells before you know precisely what's coming to you. Put ESal in your immediate future today.

There's an ideal place to recover the most oil. It doesn't require drilling new wells. It doesn't require any chemicals either.

It requires the proprietary method of enhanced oil recovery that ESal has mastered to consistently help companies obtain so much more in the field.

Discovering if it applies to you is easier and more efficient than practically any field test you'll ever find.

How much is knowing the future and full potential of a well worth to you? And to your closest competitor? Enough for a phone call to find out.

Leaving oil in the well is leaving money on the table.
Don't sell until you have proven numbers on your reserves.

And you won't know until you connect with ESal.

We’re in a business all about drilling new wells. But before you break new ground, answer this:

Can you definitively say exactly how much oil those new wells will give you? Probably not.

Yet, with a screen test from Engineered Salinity, you can know how much more oil you can get out of your existing well.

That's not all. Depending on your state, you may not need to pay anywhere near as much severance tax on the oil produced by us either. Ah, the benefits of working with an EOR.

Any questions? Good. Let's talk about them. Call ESal today at 307.760.9421.

In our latest EOR Head To Head, Engineered Salinity's method of altering water salinity takes on Microbial Recovery.

Microbial recovery involves introducing bacteria into the reservoir, changing the oil’s properties and creating agents that break down the oil’s surface tension. But compared to ESal's patented approach to changing the salinity of water - without adding any chemicals - microbial is lacking in several areas head to head.

Take recovery of Original Oil In Place (OOIP), for example. While ESal has consistently surpassed at least 15% of OOIP, microbial recovery has considerations of expense, length of process and a combination of elements. That's a lot of stars to align if microbial is going to regularly achieve oil recovery at a high rate.

This makes microbial one of the more unpredictable EOR methods. Whereas ESal has ultra-predictability, thanks to screening, lab testing and refinement during deployment, making it easier for oil companies to project long-term profitability and additional years of reservoir life.

Head to head for EOR, there's just no beating ESal.

That's right. We said it. No chemicals. None.

How long will it take to prove if it'll be profitable for the long-term? Depends how many weeks you've got.

Which Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) method can recover up to 25% of Original Oil In Place (OOIP)?

As part of our EOR Methods Head-To-Head, we evaluated four methods to see which ones were most likely to meet a threshold of 25% OOIP. Beyond that, we also wanted to factor in the expense required to meet the OOIP goal, keeping an eye toward the profitability and increased longevity of existing wells.

In numerous tests, ESal has proven able to reach 25% OOIP, achieving up to 50% OOIP total recovery. No investing in new equipment to reach that goal is required.

To check out the results in greater detail, view our new article that puts all EOR methods head-to-head in eight different categories.
