📡 Jesse Russell's impact on modern wireless communication is extraordinary.

In 1972, he graduated from Tennessee State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Shortly after, he became one of the first Black engineering graduates from an HBCU hired directly by AT&T Bell Laboratories. The following year, with support from a Bell Labs scholarship, he earned a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

In 1988, Russell led the Bell Labs team that developed the first digital cellular technology in the United States—an innovation that helped pave the way for the mobile communication era we know today.

Over the course of his career, he secured numerous patents in wireless communications, including technologies related to mobile data phones, wireless communication base stations, and mobile radio telecommunications systems. He also held several leadership positions at AT&T, serving as Director of the Cellular Telecommunications Laboratory, Chief Technical Officer of the Network Wireless Systems Business Unit, Vice President of Advanced Communications Technologies, and Chief Wireless Architect.

In 2000, Russell became President and CEO of incNETWORKS®, focusing on next-generation broadband wireless technologies and wireless voice, video, and data communications.

His groundbreaking work helped lay the foundation for the wireless world that billions rely on every day. 📱🌍
