A scam Kansas Turnpike Authority text campaign has been in progress for the last few days. Some have received it two days in a row. The website link changes daily, but it's the same "charge of $4.15. Settle your balance." Stay away from this scam.

FAKE TEXT ALERT!!

This image shows a FRAUDULENT text that mimics the DriveKS site in an attempt to steal your personal information. It's the latest smishing scam involving KTA and many toll roads across the US.

Remember, KTA never sends unsolicited texts. Always verify the link is accurate. For KTA, the main website is www.DriveKs.com. Any variation of this MAIN website is fraudulent. Do not click or use inaccurate website.

KTA is working to get this site taken down. In the meantime, help us out. If you get such a text, please report to FBI at www.ic3.gov.

Microsoft 365 services appear to be down or degraded this morning. This includes the desktop and web versions of Outlook. However, some mobile devices appear to be receiving emails at this time. Microsoft has acknowledged service issues as of 07:38 CT.

AT&T wireless services in Kansas are down due to a fiber cut. The estimated restore time is after Midnight, possibly several hours into tomorrow. You can enable wi-fi calling in your cellular settings if your phone says SOS mode to regain phone abilities.

Update: “There are no nationwide mobility issues,” AT&T spokesperson Tracy Donaldson told 27 News by email. We have asked the company why customers in Topeka are affected. We will keep you…

Here's a helpful PSA since we've seen and heard from people about the lack of warning notifications during regional weather this morning. Checking these settings now ensures your device receives only the most severe weather warning notifications.

For iPhones, navigate to the Settings app - select Notifications - scroll to the bottom, choose Emergency Alerts, and turn on Local Awareness.

Android also stores its emergency alerts in settings - notifications and elsewhere like safety and security on certain Android devices.
