✨ LADY BOSS PROFILE ✨
Meet Daryl Bell, the owner and creative director for Design Brilliance - a boutique marketing agency. Daryl just celebrated 9 years in business on her own, and has over 15 years of professional design and brand development experience. Daryl's passion is logo and brand work, but her company also provides web design, social media services, ad development/placement and more!
✨ What is your goal for the next year?
To spend my time very intentionally. For business I’m focusing on attracting my ideal clients - other creatives, and brand looking to make bold creative choices. Personally I’m hoping to travel more and already have trips to Nashville and Lake Powell lined up.
✨Who has influenced you the most?
Oprah? Kidding… kind of… I learned about the law of attraction from watching Oprah every day when I was like 12 and it really did inform the way I thought and still think about a lot of things.
My mom - my mom is an incredibly creative person as well, so my path came pretty naturally having been shaped by her creative energy.
And my friends - I have a super fierce squad who are all putting in work to level up in life constantly. It’s pretty awesome to watch them all thrive and be on the receiving end of all their support constantly too!
✨ What one piece of advice do you give to other business owners?
Don’t be afraid to try. Explore all your big crazy awesome ideas. Affirm what you want - write it down and tell other people. And be kind to yourself when you don’t get it "right".
✨ When you are not working, what are you doing?
Home design - always creating and designing something! Workouts with my friends at SchneiderFit 👊 Spending time at Lone Star or Clinton Lake ☀️ Hanging with my super silly, energetic creative force of a daughter Berk. 🦋 Enjoying time out in the yard or watching true crime with by BFF Jack.
✨ What Lawrence hidden gem do you recommend everyone checks out?
Hand down, Saltwell Farm Kitchen. It’s the most amazing and unique dining experience and run by the most incredible people!
✨ If you could change one thing about your business, what would you change?
The isolation that sometimes comes with working from home. Being tied to the computer all day sometimes - I crave movement and creating off-screen!
