Excel Tips & Tricks
Saturday, November 10, 2018 & November 17, 2018 (10am-4pm)
(This is a two Saturday class)
Looking to make yourself more marketable in your current job position or impress your boss or a job interviewer? This class is for you! You will learn some "Hot" Excel features that are a must on your resume.
Microsoft Excel has become the tool of choice for analyzing and reporting data, yet many users have never received any formal Excel training.
This interactive, hands-on workshop will teach you sophisticated and time-saving techniques for accomplishing your Excel tasks more productively.
On day one, you will learn how to navigate and select data more efficiently, color-code your data if cells meet a certain criterion (conditional formatting), ensure the integrity of your data upon entering information into your database (data validation), and quickly summarize a large database (PivotTables).
On day two, you will learn how to work with the different behaviors of relative and absolute cell references when they are copied and filled to other cells (relative references change while absolute references remain constant), name a range of cells (named ranges), create a decision-making function to help analyze your data (“IF” statements), and ask Excel to look up information and return an answer based on your criteria (VLOOKUP).
By the end of this workshop, you will have learned many tips, tricks, and techniques to improve your Excel productivity and accuracy.
There are a few seats available for this upcoming class that is being offered through Stanford's Continuing Education Studies program, which is open to all.
Hope to see you there!
