We’re looking back at the Massachusetts Council of Nonprofits conference, where our magnetic Solutions Consultants, Jessica Peskay and Christian Breau, showed up to represent RoundTable!

“Please read off the code in your authenticator app to secure your account.” Sounds convincing? But it's actually a trap. 🚨

Scammers don't always hack in; sometimes they trigger a login and trick you into unlocking the door. Two-factor Authentication Codes (2FA) are for logging in, never identity verification. If "support" asks for yours over a call or DM, hang up immediately and contact a known support line directly. 🚫

Quick rules to keep the ghouls away:
🎃 Keep 2FA codes 100% private.
🎃 Treat any code request as a red flag.
🎃 Hang up if "support" demands your digits.

💻 Today’s Scam Busters tip: Set a Safe Word!

Scammers and phone impersonators love using urgency and fake emergencies to catch people off guard. A secret family or internal team password lets you quickly verify identity if someone calls claiming there's a crisis. If they don't know the safe word, it's a trick!

How to keep the ghouls away:
👻 Pick a unique code word known only to trusted people.
👻 Ask for the safe word before acting on urgent requests.
👻 When in doubt, hang up and call back using a trusted number.
