Police Enforcement Accountability & Engaugement Coalition (P.E.A.C.E.) The Mission: To create communities that are free from the stigma that exist between the police and the communities that they have been sworn to protect. The Objective: To lobby lawmakers in a non-partisan manner to create, develop and pass laws that give the Federal government the authority to investigate and if necessary arres
t and prosecute police officers that have been found to abuse their authority to the point that someone has been physically abused or even died during a confrontation, a traffic stop in custody or any other instance. Our Focus: To employ lobbyist to research, initiate communication and engage lawmakers about the following issues:
~ Bringing police officers under federal judicial
jurisdiction which will avoid the following:
* Remove the ability of local law enforcement to
"protect their own".
* Eliminate the "pressure" from local citizens to
have an undue influence on the local authorities.
* Avoid the possibility of their being any local media
bias that may influence "public sentiment".
* Circumvent the abiliy of a local jury to be influenced
or prejudiced in any way.
