State Tech-Drafting and Design Engineering Technology

The Employers' Choice. STC uses state-of-the-art CAD labs and small class sizes to ensure individual attention and quality instruction.

Through a balanced mix of mechanical, architectural, civil, electrical and structural drafting, students gain a comprehensive knowledge of drafting, using both traditional drawing boards and computer aided drafting (CAD). Graduates of this program are qualified to work as industrial and architectural designers, engineering technicians, cost estimators, and sales technicians. Drafting and design technicians often assist engineers with design and development work. Upon graduation, students are eligible for certification by the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA).

A big thank you to Radmacher Brothers Excavating (RBE) for joining our Drafting and Design Engineering Technology students at State Technical College of Missouri for a Lunch & Learn presentation!

Our students had the opportunity to learn more about the excavation and construction industry, gain insight into real-world projects, and better understand how the work they do in the classroom connects to the field.

Goldfish Hits the Water! 🐟

Drafting & Design students put their creativity and teamwork to the test in the State Tech Boat Race with their very own boat, Goldfish! (Unofficially sponsored by Goldfish crackers)

From designing and building to finally hitting the water, the team had a great time putting their skills into action and representing Drafting & Design. Whether Goldfish was built for speed, style, or simply staying afloat, it definitely made a splash! 🌊

Great job to everyone who helped bring Goldfish from the drawing board to the water!
