Today while attending a meeting of the Valrico FishHawk Chamber of Commerce, I won a unique door prize I thought I would share with you. These items are handmade in Guatemala and sold here in the states by ambassadors. Selling products like these allow women to make a living and combat human trafficking.
The bag is made of sheep's wool and is dyed with natural dyes. The business card holder and coaster are made of cork. I love cork (all my favorite fishing rods have cork handles). Jennifer Stinson is our local ambassador for the Noonday Collection, which sells items like this, jewelry, clothing and much more.
While I am not known for my fashion sense, I am a fan of useful items, and a bag like this will be perfect for my charging cords and power adapters for my phones, tablets, cameras and radio gear I take on all my adventures.
The next time you are looking for something like this, instead of buying on Amazon, perhaps there is something you could choose that helps women in impoverished areas. And if your sense of style is better than mine (and that should be all of you) maybe you can find something you like that helps someone avoid human trafficking.
Thanks Jennifer for bringing the door prize today. I'm very glad I won and have the opportunity to think differently. Check out her page at Jennifer Stinson, Independent Ambassador Noonday Collection
