Most camera layouts look good until the footage actually has to be used.
We got tired of seeing security pros do layouts on paper or in overcomplicated software, only to realize later that "coverage" didn't mean usable footage. If the camera can't actually identify a face, the rest doesn't matter.
So we built a simple web tool to plan camera systems properly.
Upload a floor plan, trace the building, and drop cameras where you want them. It shows what each camera actually sees using color zones:
๐ข Green = ID-quality footage
๐ก Yellow = recognition
๐ด Red = basically useless for detail
It also calculates cable runs and generates shopping lists. When you're done, share the design with a single linkโclients can view everything instantly without creating accounts or downloading software.
Everything runs in the browser. Nothing to install.
Built it for security companies, but it's honestly useful for anyone planning cameras for a home or business.
