Here's a confession from a pool owner:

For three summers in a row, my "summer to-do list"
had the same item at the bottom.

Clean the pool.

It was the only thing that never got crossed off
on its own.

Swim? Easy.
Float? Already there.
BBQ? Friday night.
Nap? Multiple times a day.

But "clean the pool" sat there week after week,
quietly canceling the other four.
