Dane Martens Graphic Design With a background in theatre and performing arts, I apply the same story-telling principles from those disciplines into my design work.

Design should tell a story. Design should flow with a beginning, middle and final act. At the University of Southern California, I was able to pursue academic studies of theatre and dance while also pursing my interest and passion in graphic design. First hired as a student graphic designer at USC Spectrum, I used my self-taught skills to be promoted within the organization first as a full time pr

ofessional and then full time director of the program

I am currently responsible for presenting a full season of cultural arts and activities for the student body. My office selects, markets and then produces the finest in artistic thinkers and doers for the benefit of our student body. I do this with a team of 12 students where I teach them to use the knowledge from the classroom into practical every-day use. Having now worked within higher education for close to ten years, I’m excited to be actively seeking opportunities outside student affairs.
