According to new research from App Annie, the app analytics and data analysis firm, many people assume users of the leading social media and messaging apps are on all of them, but it’s not the case for Snapchat. It’s “truly unique and has an exclusive audience,” said Kate Donahue, senior manager of content marketing at Snap in a blog post. The same thing is happening across the pond in the U.K. Snap boasts a user base between the ages of 18 and 34—a highly coveted group for advertisers—which means marketers need to create a Snapchat centric approach to reach those users, said Donahue.
