Excited to share an event close to my heart! As a new advisory board member of Food Access LA, I’m proud to support their work connecting communities with fresh, local food and supporting small- and mid-sized farms across Southern California.

On Saturday, July 26, join us for Vine & Dine, a benefit party held at the historic Garibaldina Society.

The evening features:

🍅 A multi-course tomato-forward dinner by Chef Amanda Lanza
🎶 Live music by Manila Sounds
🍷 Great drinks, raffle prizes, and vintage 1960s vibes
🎟 Tickets benefit Food Access LA’s programs and farmers markets

Had a wonderful 24 hour stay up in Ojai a few weekends ago. and I packed a lot in and it was the perfect getaway only a little over an hour from LA. We started with a delicious Burmese meal at The Dutchess, and then stayed at the stylish Capri Inn. We started the next morning with good strong coffee and pastries at The Beacon, wandered around and explored the outdoor bookstore Bart’s Books. Afterwards we checked out Summercamp, a fun gift shop, had a nice lunch at Ojai Rotie, and then hunted down Magic Hour tea shop where they make the Queen of the South tea that we had at The Dutchess.

Founded in 1974, Co-opportunity is a public co-op market commited to offering the highest-quality organic food & responsibly sourced products to it’s customers.

Owned by 13,000 members of the community, and open to the public, they generate profit for their community instead of a single owner.

The design goal was to give them a trustworthy, high-quality look to reflect their sustainable and forward thinking values and attract new customers and members.
