The FBI has long barred applicants who used ma*****na within the previous three years, a policy former Director James Comey said made it harder to recruit top cybersecurity talent.

In 2014, Comey acknowledged that many highly skilled candidates had more recent ma*****na use than the FBI’s hiring standards allowed, saying the agency needed to “grapple” with the challenge. However, he also made clear that the policy itself was not changing.

While some U.S. agencies later relaxed their ma*****na hiring rules, the FBI reportedly kept its three-year lookback period. The policy applies even in states where ma*****na is legal, since the bureau follows federal standards.

Do you think past ma*****na use should affect someone’s eligibility for cybersecurity jobs?

Apple’s latest patents suggest the company’s future could be less about upgrading a single device and more about transforming its entire ecosystem. 👀

Recent filings explore body worn devices with built in cameras, new ways to charge and dock devices, and concepts that could allow an iPhone to expand into a larger workstation when needed.

While patents don’t guarantee future products, they offer a glimpse into where Apple’s engineers are investing their ideas, particularly around wearables, cameras, input methods, and more flexible form factors. 💡

Rather than focusing on one breakthrough gadget, the bigger strategy appears to be making technology feel more seamless, connected, and integrated into everyday life.

Rockstar has officially opened preorders for Grand Theft Auto VI, with the Standard Edition priced at $79.99 ahead of its November 19, 2026 release. 👀

In today’s dollars, that’s the highest launch price ever for a standard GTA game.

But after adjusting for inflation, previous entries actually cost more. A $49.99 GTA release in 2001 would be roughly $94 today, while GTA V’s $59.99 launch price in 2013 works out to about $86 in 2026 dollars.

So while GTA VI has the highest sticker price in the franchise, it isn’t the most expensive GTA when inflation is taken into account.

Do you think $79.99 is a fair price for GTA VI? 🤔💭

While many people worry that AI will replace millions of workers, Jeff Bezos believes the opposite may happen. 👀

Bezos argues that AI will make people dramatically more productive, helping businesses create more value while lowering costs and improving living standards. 📈

Rather than replacing humans outright, he sees AI as a tool that amplifies what workers can do, allowing a single person to accomplish far more than before.

His prediction is that increased productivity could eventually create a labor shortage, with demand for goods, services, and innovation growing faster than the available workforce. 🚀

Do you agree with Bezos, or do you think AI will eliminate more jobs than it creates? 🤔

Javier Milei is drawing attention after proposing a new type of corporation that could be operated by AI rather than humans. 👀

In a recent opinion piece, Milei argued that AI should face minimal regulation and suggested creating a legal framework for “non human corporations,” where human shareholders would not necessarily be required.

He believes the approach could help position Argentina as one of the world’s most attractive destinations for AI companies and investment.

Critics, however, argue that giving AI systems greater control over corporations raises serious questions about accountability, oversight, and the balance between innovation and public interest.

A Google backed project is proposing one of the largest mosquito control experiments ever attempted 🦟🔬

Instead of relying on traditional chemical spraying, the plan would release millions of non biting male mosquitoes carrying Wolbachia, a naturally occurring bacteria that prevents successful reproduction when they mate with wild females.

Over time, researchers hope the approach could significantly reduce populations of mosquitoes that spread diseases such as dengue, Zika, and chikungunya.

The program also uses advanced automation and AI powered systems to sort and process millions of insects, helping scale the technology far beyond traditional mosquito control methods.

If approved and expanded, the project could become one of the largest real world tests of next generation disease control technology ever conducted in the United States.

Elon Musk testified in court during the major legal battle over the future of OpenAI, arguing that the company moved away from the nonprofit mission it was originally built around.

Musk is suing Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, and OpenAI itself, claiming the organization shifted from a humanity focused nonprofit into a profit driven business.

During testimony, Musk stated that he helped create the idea for OpenAI, came up with the name, recruited early talent, shared technical knowledge, and provided initial funding for the organization.

He argued that OpenAI was originally intended to operate like a charity benefiting humanity rather than enriching individuals or investors.

The lawsuit has become one of the biggest clashes in the AI industry, raising questions about power, control, and whether advanced AI companies can stay aligned with their original public interest goals.

A senior executive at NVIDIA just pointed out something many companies are starting to realize: AI can become extremely expensive at scale.

Bryan Catanzaro, NVIDIA’s VP of applied deep learning, told Axios that for his team, “the cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees” when working on compute heavy AI systems.

The statement highlights a growing issue inside the AI industry where every prompt, coding agent, generated response, and large scale model run creates ongoing compute costs tied to GPUs, cloud infrastructure, and power usage.

While AI can automate tasks, companies still need massive hardware resources, subscriptions, monitoring, and human oversight to keep systems running efficiently.

As AI adoption accelerates, many businesses are starting to realize that replacing human labor with AI is not always as cheap or simple as it first sounds.

Newly revealed texts are giving people another look inside the chaotic 2023 leadership crisis at OpenAI.

The messages reportedly show Sam Altman speaking with Mira Murati shortly after the board removed him as CEO and appointed her as interim leader.

According to the leaked exchange, Altman asked whether a return was possible while Murati described the situation as “directionally very bad.” The texts also referenced pressure from Microsoft, discussions involving Satya Nadella, employee resignations, and plans to move forward without Altman.

The leak offers one of the clearest behind the scenes glimpses yet into how tense and unstable the power struggle became during one of the biggest moments in AI industry history.

Declassified reports connected to UFO and unidentified aerial phenomena investigations have given the public a rare look into how unusual sightings are documented inside military systems.

The released material includes mission reports, infrared footage, images, and “range fouler” debriefs tied to encounters reported by military personnel across multiple decades.

Many of the descriptions remain intentionally limited, often describing bright objects, unexplained shapes, or unusual sensor readings before the targets suddenly disappear or tracking is lost.

Rather than providing a definitive answer about alien life, the documents mainly reveal how uncertainty and unexplained events are formally recorded and analyzed.

For many people, the most interesting part is not confirmation of extraterrestrials, but seeing how seriously these incidents were handled behind the scenes.
