This February and March, StandardVision is showcasing selections from interdisciplinary artist Suzy Poling (.pol.pod.blotz)’s Natural Phenomenon across several of our large-scale, high-resolution LED facades throughout Los Angeles. ⁠

Working across photography, video, sound, and installation, Poling transforms natural environments into luminous, otherworldly terrains through optical experimentation, saturation, and layered interference. Presented at architectural scale, these vivid landscapes loom above the city, interrupting the urban rhythm with amplified visions of nature that feel at once organic and alien.⁠

StandardVision is currently showcasing an excerpt from a film by LA-based multimedia installation artist Lloyd Galbraith on the large-scale digital facade at the Courtyard Marriott LA Live in downtown LA. ⁠
⁠
Created in collaboration with Indonesian-Australian producer and artist YuniVERSE, the work reflects Galbraith’s signature visual language—ritual-like portraiture shaped by light, repetition, and distortion. Bodies loop and fracture across physical and screen-based space, transforming the facade into a shifting visual portal experienced at architectural scale. Presented in the public realm, the work invites passersby into a slowed, immersive encounter with image, movement, and sound.⁠

For the month of November, StandardVision has curated a site-specific showcase of photographer Yannis Davy Guibinga’s () Of Color series across a number of StandardVision’s large-scale exterior displays throughout Los Angeles.

Guibinga’s practice reframes narratives of the African continent through a vivid, contemporary lens. His portrait photography celebrates identity, culture, and belonging, and documents a new generation of Africans who embrace the multiplicity of their heritage in a globalized world. His Of Color series explores how color itself becomes a language of emotion, memory, and identity.

StandardVision and Fuser Studio present a site-specific showcase of artist, technologist, and writer Wendi Yan across our large-scale LED displays throughout Los Angeles, on view starting today and through October 13th.

Yan creates speculative epistemologies through research-driven worldbuilding and metafictional simulation, using CGI, game engines, and documentary practices to probe the artifice of knowledge.

Her art film VISIONS OF A PHOSPHINE EARTH imagines a research-based fictional planet with life in its sulphuric clouds. This meditative, nonnarrative short journeys between fiction and science, macro-landscape and micro-imaging, revealing the unbelievability of life beyond Earth.

Continuing our feature of the selected films from LA Dance Film Festival which StandardVision is showcasing for the month of September on the digital facade at the Courtyard Marriott LA Live in downtown LA. StandardVision was honored to present the StandardVision Showcase Award and Honorable Mentions at this year's festival.

WE, directed by Sarah Elgart (Arrogant Elbow), was awarded a StandardVision Honorable Mention. Set within the layered landscape of Venice Beach, where displacement and scarcity coexist with affluence, the film follows a meeting between two men at an alleyway intersection. Navigating themes of
belonging, isolation, compassion, and disdain, the work paints a portrait of Los Angeles' contradictions and the human longing that lives within them.

This month, StandardVision is thrilled to showcase selected films from the LA Dance Film Festival on our renowned digital facade at the Courtyard Marriott LA Live in downtown LA. StandardVision was honored to present the StandardVision Showcase Award and Honorable Mentions at this year's festival.

TUTU ACADEMY is the recipient of the StandardVision Showcase Award, and will be on view for the entire month of September. Celebrating the universal language of dance, the film is a defiantly unconventional and joyful journey connecting everyone--even aliens--to dance’s unearthly magic.

On view through the end of August, StandardVision has curated a site-specific showcase of work by visual artist Mia Liu across a number of StandardVision’s large-scale exterior displays throughout Los Angeles.⁠

Liu’s work sits at the intersection of abstraction and narrative, often evoking a quiet sense of contemplation. Through nuanced forms and a refined visual language, she crafts imagery that lingers—offering a space for reflection and interpretation. Drawn to the unspoken and the in-between, Liu explores the emotional weight of stillness, memory, and metaphor.

Now on view across two of StandardVision's large-scale LED platforms in the heart of DTLA: Aquatica, a new vividly immersive work by Maggie West. Blending time-lapse plant photography with slow-motion footage of betta fish, Aquatica conjures a surreal, dreamlike underwater world.

This public art feature debuts alongside Ground Work, a new group exhibition at Sean Kelly Gallery Los Angeles, where West’s Aquatica will also be on view.

On view through the end of June, StandardVision has curated a collaborative showcase of a new work from LA-based artist and animator Daniel Savage () across some of StandardVision’s large-scale exterior displays in downtown Los Angeles.

With a background in percussion and design, Daniel’s work can best be described as visual rhythm. This piece expands upon his Mountains series, exploring the layers and vibrant colors of an abstract terrain, and drawing rhythm from the natural waveforms of mountains.
