🦒🦥🦩🐒🦓🐘🐍🦏 It’s National Wildlife Day… so naturally, we’re letting the animals take over the feed.

For Life of Pi, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate closely with director Ang Lee on an opening title sequence that introduces us to Pi’s world before his extraordinary journey begins.

And what a world it is.

Set inside his family’s zoo in Pondicherry, the sequence wanders through a lush, dreamlike menagerie where giraffes peek through the trees, sloths take their time, flamingos strut, monkeys cause trouble, elephants roam, and seemingly every corner reveals another creature.

Working with Ang, we wanted the titles to do more than simply introduce the film’s credits. The idea was to capture the wonder, curiosity and discovery at the heart of Pi’s childhood — allowing us to experience this extraordinary world through his eyes.

The credits themselves become part of that discovery, integrated into signs, architecture, shadows, reflections and objects throughout the zoo, so the typography feels like it belongs within Pi’s world rather than sitting on top of it.

Beautiful. Mysterious. Sometimes funny. Sometimes dangerous. And always worthy of a closer look.

So in honor of , we’re revisiting one of the wildest casts we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

In honor of Gloria Steinem, we’re revisiting our main title sequence for Mrs. America — a series about a moment when the fight over women’s equality moved to the center of American culture and politics.

Few people helped bring that fight into the public consciousness more powerfully than Gloria Steinem.

As a journalist, activist and organizer, Steinem became one of the most recognizable voices of the modern women’s movement. She co-founded Ms. magazine, helped establish the National Women’s Political Caucus, advocated for the Equal Rights Amendment, and spent decades pushing issues such as workplace equality, reproductive freedom, political representation and gender discrimination into the national conversation.

She also understood something fundamental about cultural change: visibility matters. Who gets seen. Who gets heard. Who gets represented. And who gets to shape the story.

That idea became central to our main title sequence for Mrs. America.

We drew from the visual language of the 1970s — advertising, magazines, political campaigns, television and popular culture — creating a collage of images that reflects a country being forced to reconsider deeply ingrained ideas about gender, power and identity.

The sequence juxtaposes the polished optimism of the era with the social and political tensions beneath it, capturing a moment when women were challenging not only laws and institutions, but the images and expectations that had long defined their place in American life.

Gloria Steinem helped change those expectations.

And more than half a century later, her influence can still be felt in the conversations she helped bring into the mainstream.

In honor of Gloria Steinem — writer, organizer, activist, and one of the defining voices of the women’s movement.

Some guys reinvent themselves.

Greg Russo just needs a rewrite. ✍️🐓

In Rooster, Steve Carell plays a fiction writer whose novels star Rooster — a cool, sexy man of action who is basically everything Greg wishes he was.

Unfortunately, Greg’s actual life could use some editing.

For the opening titles, we took that idea literally. Pages from Greg’s books peel away, words escape their paragraphs, letters tumble through space, and characters from his new life crash into the fictional world he created.

Inspired by the illustrated covers of Greg’s novels, we created original character artwork and brought it into a dimensional book environment where typography becomes part of the action — falling like rain, rising like smoke, dissipating like steam… and eventually collapsing around Greg himself.

Because sometimes turning the page isn’t enough.

Sometimes you have to blow up the whole paragraph. 💥📖

🛢️ Nothing says National Petroleum Day like drilling for oil… and digging up secrets. 🍸🔫

For The Hunting Wives, we headed deep into East Texas oil country for an opening title sequence as big, bold, and slightly unhinged as the women at the center of the story.

Using iconic oil pump jacks as giant animated billboards, we start with a little vintage Americana—painted plywood cut-outs, playful imagery, and plenty of Texas charm. 🤠🛢️

Then things get… complicated.

The fun slowly gives way to obsession, seduction, and something much more sinister. Because in East Texas, the oil isn’t the only thing bubbling beneath the surface. 👀

So this , we’re raising a martini to The Hunting Wives.
Come for the oil. Stay because you may be a material witness. 🍸🛢️

Equality never goes out of style. ✊✨

For Women’s Equality Day, we’re looking back at our Main Titles for Mrs. America — a series about the women who fought over what equality, freedom, and womanhood meant in a rapidly changing America.

Inspired by the illustration styles of the 1970s, we created a world of playfully animated watercolors that captures the energy, optimism, contradictions, and cultural clashes of the era. Each image reflects the many roles women occupied in the movement — and the very different visions they had for the future.

Like the series itself, we wanted the sequence to feel unmistakably of its time, while reminding us just how relevant those conversations remain today.

Here’s to the women who challenged expectations, raised their voices, and kept pushing the picture forward. 💪✨

Corporate doesn’t have to feel corporate. ⚡️

And with prime conference season right around the corner, it felt like a good time to show what that can look like.

Big screens. Bigger ideas. 🚀

Stages. Installations. Brand films. Immersive environments. Live experiences. Sometimes entire buildings.

Our Corporate + Events Reel brings together some of the ways we’ve taken the same cinematic storytelling and design thinking we bring to film + television and pushed it into the real world — combining design, animation, technology and spectacle to create experiences people actually remember.

Because sometimes the screen is 30 feet wide.
Sometimes the screen is the building.
And sometimes the best way to tell a brand story is to make people feel like they’ve stepped inside it.

If there’s a screen, a stage, a space — or a surface we probably weren’t supposed to think of as a screen — we’ll find a way to tell a story on it.

After 16 years away, the hit medical comedy Scrubs is back! yU+co was honored to take part in this exciting return, working with ABC to create a reimagining of the iconic title sequence. Set to the original theme from 2001, Superman, the sequence follows familiar faces and a new generation of interns through the hospital. Our goal was to create a sequence that felt modern and evolved, while staying true to the spirit that fans know and love. To update the feel of the titles, we utilized digital displays, modern set pieces, and a final logo reveal that pays homage to the original credits. 🩺

yU+co art directed the live-action shoot, developing pre-vis that guided the motion-control shoot across the hospital set. The production included 24 setups with 8 cast members, each choreographed to create a seamless sequence.
