A year ago, I made one of the scariest decisions of my life.

I walked away from the security of a guaranteed paycheck and quit my job to bet everything on photography with no true guarantee that it would actually work.

And I’d be lying if I said there weren’t moments this past year where I questioned everything.

Moments where money was tight. Moments where bookings were slow. Moments where I wondered if I had made the biggest mistake of my life.

But when I take a step back and really look at what this past year has given me…

I’ve traveled the country documenting people’s love stories from North Carolina to Idaho and I’m headed to Cali for an engagement session in 2 weeks

I’ve shot 2 major music festivals, worked with some of the coolest venues, vendors, and locally owned businesses, and documented countless seniors along the way.

It’s honestly crazy to look back on.

I’ve never been more confident in my decision than I am today.

I still have a lot to learn. There’s still so much I don’t know. I still overthink and stress myself out probably more than I should 😂

But because of the amazing people in my life who pushed me to grow, while also loving me and staying by my side through it all, this first year has been something special.

It’s been such a dope year, and I genuinely can’t wait to see what Year 2 as a full-time photographer holds for me. 📸
