The long distance ‘slammers’ are back. If you get a call from someone claiming to be your voice carrier and they are wanting to change something about your plan related to long distance, don’t be fooled. Call your carrier directly if you wish to make adjustments. People representing NetCom are calling Spectrum and ATT customers claiming to save you money and simplify your billing, but if you agree to their terms you will see new charges in addition to what you are paying Spectrum. This is a scam in our book.

Know of an amazing ‘man cave’ that needs an internet upgrade? We can help with that! This one required buried cable from the basement of the house into the detached garage, lightning suppression, new wireless access points and even replaced the original UVerse television feed cable. Result is a better quality, better performing, cleaner looking install.

I love the finished look of a new install with new cables. This one was a entry-level cost setup with minimal wire management, but included a Netgear PoE switch, Sonicwall firewall, and a PoE power wireless controller for Ubiquiti Unifi wireless. This basic setup is perfect for the small business that wants a network to work well, provide industry leading security, and keep costs reasonable. Props go to for phone system install and cabling on this one!

While using your computer, if a 'pop-up' window occurs that states there is a problem with your computer and the pop-up window has a phone number to call, it is most likely a scam. If you call the number, they will require your help remotely accessing your computer and then they will want payment to 'fix a problem' that they find. These are bogus issues and if you pay them once, they will likely leave software in place that will set you up for this to occur again at some point in the future. If in doubt, call us, or your friendly IT service provider first.
