as officially incorporated in 1984, though the company’s story goes back well before then, when the principle designers were based in San Diego, California and immersed in the professional recording studio and broadcast industries. Since that time, the company has grown at a measured pace that reflects both diligent management and our dedication to creating the best home entertainment products we’re capable of producing. Throughout our history, one thing has never changed: our unwavering dedication to hand-building the most accurate and reliable audio components in the world. Boulder is not a hobby business or well-funded but technologically hollow startup. We are an organization with a traceable lineage firmly grounded in engineering and technology. Everything is designed and manufactured at our new facility in Louisville, Colorado in the U.S. We’ve attempted, whenever possible, to bring every aspect of the manufacturing process under our roof in order to improve our quality control. We do not outsource design or production. All of our products are the handiwork of multiple engineers, metalworkers, technicians and craftsmen who take great pride in being a part of the last truly high-end audio company in North America that is independent and does everything in-house. While this method of manufacturing may cost a little more, it is the only way we know of to guarantee absolute perfection in performance, reliability and quality. Our founder, Jeff Nelson, is fond of asking, “Doesn’t anyone really care about the customer anymore?” We ask this of ourselves everyday. As long as there are music and film lovers who understand and appreciate what we do, we’ll continue to make the home sound and cinema event an experience unequalled by any other means.
