iOS 26.6 Is Here—and It’s Already Preparing Your Apple Devices for iOS 27

Apple has released iOS 26.6, along with updates for iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and its other operating systems.

The update includes bug fixes, 77 security fixes, and an optimization of the Spotlight search index ahead of iOS 27.

That Spotlight change could make this fall’s upgrade smoother. Rebuilding the index after a major update can take days, temporarily affecting search results and some Siri AI features.
