Marketing moved a lot in October. Here’s what changed, and what it means for your business. 🚨
– Google rankings swung on Oct 16, 20-21, 24 and 27, and Google hasn’t confirmed an update. If traffic dips, calls, leads and sales tell you more than a rank tracker does.
– TikTok comments now have polls, an easy way to ask your audience what they want to see next.
– Google’s AI answers are linking to websites more often and higher up. Getting your business mentioned in them is a good way to get found.
– LinkedIn is testing a feed of only the people you follow and connect with, and added digital business cards.
– Facebook’s new “Your Algorithm” lets people type what they want more or less of in their Feed and Reels.
– Meta and ChatGPT can now tweak ads automatically. Meta’s updated terms, which take effect Nov 20, make advertisers responsible for what those tools produce.
– Gmail and Apple Mail now show AI summaries of emails, so the first sentence matters more than the preview line.
