This year, for The Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus Black Excellence on the Hill Award, it was my honor to nominate Nfamara "Fams" Taal.
Fams embodies the power of service-driven leadership. As the owner of FT Custom Printing & Embroidery Apparel in the Town of Ludlow, he has built a successful family-owned business that supports schools, municipalities, healthcare organizations, sports teams, and small businesses throughout our region. Beyond his work as an entrepreneur, he serves as President of the Massachusetts Society for Respiratory Care, where he mentors and develops the next generation of healthcare professionals.
His commitment to making a difference extends well beyond Massachusetts. Through the Sam Taal Global Foundation, Fams is working to expand access to healthcare, education, and community resources in underserved communities, particularly in his homeland of The Gambia.
