We are so happy to be part of another successful Old Book Sale put on by Houston County Friends of the Library!
It has been a huge year for the Friends. This sale has been a major success and we want to thank those who have been a part of that. Without them, we would not be able to offer the financial support to our Houston County Public Library System that we do!
From an advertising perspective and in no particular order, we'd like to thank Crystal Coker and Third Wave Digital, WPGA, 13 WMAZ, 41NBC / WMGT, and WGXA.tv. All of these groups have helped us get the word out about the sale!
For Volunteers, we depend on our community greatly to help us staff the sale. We have many local volunteers who come through every year, especially to help us man the cash registers. The Houston County Public Works Department and Houston County Sherriff's Office helped immensely during set up to make sure the sale was ready for all of our lovely shoppers! Our local affiliates of Robins Financial Credit Union, Target, and CarMax sent phenomenal groups of volunteers as well. And we had help from our local schools in Perry High, Houston County High, Warner Robins High, Northside High, and Mercer University.
Lastly, our local Kroger and Walmart helped with snacks and waters throughout the sale, which as many of you know is no small act either!
We could never dream of putting on this sale and doing it justice without everyone's support! Thank you!
And I'm sure we will have an announcement soon on our annual donation for our libraries!
