Language has power, and its usage is neither benign nor harmless. Our vocabulary, with a simple adjustment or replacement, can be modified to be more inclusive and accommodating. Small changes can generate a beneficial disruption of conventional practice that, in turn, inspire innovative ways to collaborate and communicate. Teams thrive when there are effective communication channels which enhance their ability to work together.

Bendyworks was at the Big Elixir Conference! 🙌

This year, the conference is back in person and featuring 12 fantastic talks focusing entirely on the learnings, struggles, successes, and overall experiences of working with LiveView and the PETAL stack.

Bendyworkers Stephen Anderson, Roger Roelofs, Amy Terry-Penak and Tanner Hartwig were there in New Orleans soaking in the sun and knowledge! We can’t wait to hear everything they learned. 🧠

Game nights are a blast! 🎲

Thursday nights are set aside for Bendyworkers to enjoy some virtual comradery. We love being able to play Dungeons & Dragons together on Roll20, a virtual tabletop game platform. 🧙

Happy Feel Good Friday! (Or should we say, Feline Good Friday) 🐈

Did you know that our very own Valerie Shoskes works with Cleveland area rescue centers? She helps transport cats and moderates a Facebook group that helps the local community with emergency cat vet bills, in addition to providing rescue networking.

She is a force of good to help feline friends find their home. Way to go, Valerie! 😻
