Broadcast Service Technician – Paid Internship

We specialize in repair and calibration of broadcast video equipment, including cameras, lenses, tripods and fiber optic transmission equipment. NOTE: The home office is located in Madison, WI, so relocation or travel will be required.
How You Contribute to Your Success:
• Must be able to read, interpret and understand schematic, drawings
• Proficient soldering skills.
• Takes ownership of an assignment task and see it through to successful completion
• Perform other duties as required
The MUST Haves:
• Intern working on Associates Degree
• Must possess a thorough understanding of electronics theory, test equipment and test procedures usually acquired through two years of general technical
• US citizenship required
The Bare Essentials:
• Ability to work independently
• Resolve issues and manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Able to rework and solder SMT/Thru hole components
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as assembly procedures, engineering drawings instructions, schematics, testing protocol and equipment procedures
• Advanced understanding of electronics and troubleshooting skills (Will train)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude essential (i.e. hands-on ability to test)CAD and knowledge of 3D printing a plus
