BEFORE 🌀 AFTER

Here’s a little peek into WaveLand’s website design process for Born Yesterday Bakery’s () new “Sourcing” page!

BYB makes the bread of my dreams from organically sourced ingredients from local farmers. Their commitment to quality, sustainability, and traceability makes me proud to work with them as a client and friend.

Whether I’m building a full website, or in this case, implementing a new page to an existing site, I like to start with a conversation to understand exactly what is needed.

I ask questions like, “What outcomes are you hoping to achieve?” and “What are key messages you would like to communicate?”

From this, we narrow down exactly what we need to say, what features are necessary, and how to achieve our goals.

Then I get to sketching out a wireframe with my kindergarten-level drawing skills, which is used to create a professional design to be implemented live on site.

Robby Webb is an amazing recording engineer, producer, and drummer.

Fun fact: he’s recorded pretty much all of my music! Without his expertise, I wouldn’t have had the guts to write and record as much as I have.

Robby has also been a long-time, trusted client of Wave Land.

We recently redesigned his website to better support his business needs moving forward.

As an engineer and producer, it’s imperative to showcase previous work to help prospective clients understand your creative voice.

Recording is deeply personal and developing a relationship with your engineer or producer is critical to making good music.

That’s why we spent a lot of time on the personal bits:

- Who is Robby?
- What are his specialties?
- What can clients expect when working with him?
- Who has he worked with? (Including samples!)

His new website answers all of these questions while seamlessly guiding users to start the conversation. It highlights Robby’s past work and recording experience, making it easy for potential clients to get the information they need to take the next step.

This past summer, Drew (Founder, Supervoid) recognized it was time for a major website update. Rather than just refreshing the design, we seized the opportunity to do a complete branding overhaul.
