AMS was founded as Auto Marketing Services in April of 1982. The company engaged in the sale and installation of upgraded stereo equipment and other installable accessories to car dealerships. Beginning in 1987, the first retail showroom for Car Audio opened, and the fun began. Over the next several years, the business grew very quickly and ended up in it’s current location on King James Way in 19
90. During the 90’s, AMS was recognized by numerous manufacturers as a leader in the industry. Driven by “Quality Over Quantity”, installation, programming, and service drives our business. AMS has received awards from many manufacturers as a top retailer, and the industry itself awarded AMS the “Best Single Store” in 1997. In 2006, one of our very own was recognized by the industry as “Installer of the Year” across the entire country. In 2004, AMS began selling, installing, and programming Audio and Video for home and light commercial applications. Again, this part of our business is driven by quality installation, programming, and service. AMS has been a member of CEDIA every year we’ve been in business, ensuring that we stay current and certified with industry standards. Over time, car audio has blossomed into a number of different products we now refer to as Mobile Electronics. Home Audio and Video has expanded to include Automation and powerful WiFi networks. The commonality you’ll find in all that we do is the people, our staff. Trained and experienced, this is a group of people you can trust with your home or vehicle.
