🚨 SCAM ALERT – Georgia DDS Text Message Phishing Attempt 🚨

We’re seeing an increase in fraudulent text messages claiming to be from the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS).

These messages typically say you have an “outstanding citation” and threaten:

License suspension
Registration freeze
Additional penalties

They then push you to click a suspicious payment link.

⚠️ This is a phishing scam.

Here’s how to spot it:

❌ Comes from a random phone number (not an official government sender)
❌ Uses urgent threats to pressure you into acting quickly
❌ Contains suspicious or misspelled links (not a verified *.gov site)
❌ Requests immediate payment without official documentation

🔍 Important:
The real Georgia DDS will NOT send citation payment demands via random SMS with direct payment links.

🛡️ What You Should Do:

Do NOT click the link
Do NOT enter any personal or payment information
Delete the message immediately
Verify directly through the official DDS website if concerned

🚨 Vonage Outage Alert 🚨

We’re aware of what appears to be a widespread Vonage outage currently affecting both inbound and outbound calls that originate outside of the Vonage network.

📞 What’s working:

Calls between Vonage-to-Vonage numbers are functioning normally.

🚫 What’s affected:

Calls to or from non-Vonage numbers are failing intermittently.

Many customers are experiencing dropped or failed connections when trying to reach businesses or contacts not on Vonage.

🛠 Important Note:
If you need to contact Vonage technical support, you must call from a Vonage phone at this time — other carriers will not connect successfully.

We’ll continue monitoring the situation and provide updates as they become available.

For those of us who grew up with that unforgettable screech of a modem, followed by the cheerful “You’ve got mail!”, it’s a bittersweet, nostalgic moment.

Mindfire is offering a weekly recycle day at our office. All you have to do is bring your accepted items and drop it off with one of our team members — and we’ll do the rest!
