Here’s something I want more business owners to think about.

If someone already knows your company name, they can probably find you.

But what about the people who don’t know your name yet?

What happens when they ask AI:

• “Who can help me with this?”

• “What businesses provide this service?”

• “Who specializes in what I need?”

Does AI understand enough about your business to include you in the conversation?

That’s a very different question from simply Googling your company name.

How Can I Improve My Business’s Visibility in AI Search Results?
This is a question I’m hearing more and more from business owners.
One of the first things I tell them is: Don’t just search for your business by name.
That really doesn’t tell you enough. Think about it.

If someone already knows your company name, they’ve already found you in some way.
What about the people who need what you do but have never heard of you? Those are the searches I’m interested in.

Try asking ChatGPT questions like:
• “Who specializes in [your service]?”
• “Who can help me with [the problem you solve]?”
• “What companies provide [your service]?”
• “Who would you recommend for [specific need]?”

Then look at what comes back. Does your business appear?

I recently went through this with my business on 5 AI platforms, asking it 15 branded and non-branded questions and what did I discover? I am showing up when it comes to people searching for CJ Design & Consulting, however I need to create more non-branded content so people can find me who don't know my business name.

AI visibility isn’t about finding a trick to get into ChatGPT.
It’s about making it easier for search engines and AI to understand who you are, what you do, who you help, and why your business is relevant. And that’s becoming an important part of how businesses get found.
