Galileo is the data-driven enterprise solution for proactive monitoring, optimization, and strategic management of complex modern and legacy infrastructure stacks, living on-prem, hybrid, or in the cloud.

Unlike traditional monitoring architectures, Galileo leverages contextual data to expose your operational reality. By combining raw historical data with a purpose-built analytics engine and intuitive 3D navigation (uniquely built on a state-of-the-art gaming engine), Galileo delivers the visibility and insights IT teams need to:

✅ Cut costs by optimizing cloud and on-prem workloads.

✅ Answer critical infrastructure questions, including “What do I have?” “What’s connected to what?” and most importantly, “Am I healthy?” to manage infrastructure health, connectivity, and capacity efficiently.

✅ Optimize the stack to increase resiliency and reliability, improve governance, and reduce risk, all without exhausting your internal resources.

Performance still matters. But infrastructure cost visibility is becoming just as important.

Infrastructure teams are increasingly being asked to explain:

• why costs increased
• where capacity is being underutilized
• what renewal exposure exists
• whether infrastructure decisions are financially defensible

That’s difficult with disconnected tools and point-in-time reporting.

We created a practical field guide outlining six infrastructure KPIs that help teams connect infrastructure behavior to smarter cost and planning decisions.

Inside the guide:

✔ KPIs worth tracking
✔ what each metric helps you measure
✔ common blind spots that make KPI reporting harder
✔ what to look for when assessing inefficiency, waste, and renewal risk

Employee recognition is taking on a sharper focus at ATS & Galileo.
Each recognition period now highlights one of our core company values and celebrates the people who bring it to life through their work.

For this cycle, the focus was Ownership.

Dan was recognized for stepping up as the lead technical SME on a high-visibility proof of concept, coordinating across multiple teams and delivering a successful outcome under demanding timelines, all while maintaining his existing client commitments.

Ownership is about more than accountability. It’s taking responsibility for outcomes, stepping into challenges, and doing what it takes to move important work forward.

Well deserved, Dan! Please join us in congratulating him.

There’s an assumption that moving off a legacy monitoring platform is slow and disruptive.

In many cases, it is.

Years of configuration, dependencies, and data don’t always translate cleanly, and trying to carry everything forward can make the process heavier than it needs to be.

In the work we’ve done with clients in this position, the approach makes the difference. Taking a step back, focusing on what actually needs to be monitored today, and avoiding unnecessary carryover can change both the timeline and the outcome.

That’s how some large environments are able to transition in weeks instead of months.

✴️More importantly, they come out with something cleaner:

• Less overhead to maintain
• Clearer relationships between systems and services
• Data that holds up when questions come from leadership

Modernization tends to work better when it’s treated as a reset rather than a one-for-one migration.

If your renewal is coming up, it’s a good time to look at it that way.
This article will help.

Heading to Info-Tech LIVE 2026?

Modern IT environments aren’t just complex - they’re constantly changing. The challenge isn’t collecting more data. It’s turning that data into decisions FASTER.

At the show, we’re talking with IT leaders about how to:
• Cut through alert noise
• Connect data across tools and environments
• Turn visibility into real operational impact

If that’s on your radar, stop by booth #909 for a conversation.

Infrastructure planning is harder than it used to be.
Hardware prices have climbed. Lead times are longer. Quote windows are shorter. Waiting until you need capacity is not always a realistic option.

So teams make the prudent call. They provision conservatively, build in extra margin, and try to stay ahead of uncertainty.

The challenge is that those decisions are often made without enough historical context to clearly distinguish sustained demand from temporary spikes, aging assumptions, or past contingencies.

Over time, that uncertainty can quietly shape both the environment and the budget.

This is where infrastructure cost visibility becomes more than a monitoring discussion. It becomes a planning advantage.

We took a closer look at why this matters and how teams are connecting performance, usage, and cost to make more informed infrastructure decisions.

What starts as a routine monitoring platform renewal often turns into a much bigger conversation.
Not just, “Do we renew?” but...

❓Are we still getting the visibility we need?
❓Does this platform fit how the environment operates today?
❓Are rising costs translating into better insight?

And underneath those questions, the operational friction is usually still there:
🔹 Monitoring centered around up/down status
🔹 Limited visibility into service health and dependencies
🔹 Alerts without enough context to drive fast decisions

For many organizations, the renewal becomes the moment they step back and rethink what observability should actually deliver.

We put together a perspective on why more teams are moving beyond legacy monitoring models and what they’re looking for instead.

Many capacity planning conversations start too late.

After performance drops. After costs spike. After someone asks, “Why didn’t we see this coming?”

In our recent executive panel discussion, one point stood out boldly:
“When pricing changes weekly, guessing your capacity needs becomes expensive.”

You can’t plan capacity without accurate, complete data over time.

Not snapshots. Not rollups.

Actual data.

The ability to look at any asset, across any time range, with every original data point intact is what makes informed decisions possible.

And that’s where most observability tools fall short.

They summarize. They average. They lose the detail you need to understand trends, forecast demand, and justify decisions.

With Galileo, capacity planning becomes something different:

• Trend infrastructure usage across systems, not in silos
• Forecast growth based on real historical behavior
• Evaluate consolidation, cloud migration, or expansion with confidence
• Answer the question behind every decision: do we actually need this?

Because capacity planning is not just about performance anymore.

It’s about cost, accountability, and being able to explain your decisions before they get questioned.

Is your SolarWinds, PRTG, or other legacy monitoring platform renewal on the table?

Before you continue down a path defined by limitations, long-term commitments, and increasing costs, it’s worth asking:

Can we take a different approach, one that leads to a better outcome?
The answer is YES.

The teams experiencing better outcomes are taking a different path:

🔹From device status → service health and user impact
🔹From fragmented tools → unified visibility
🔹From point-in-time data → full historical context
🔹From constant tuning → simplified operations

This article walks through what that change looks like and how teams are thinking about it.
