Many users and companies that were used to upgrading their systems are in for a big surprise. TPM is required for the latest Windows upgrade. This means that older systems will not upgrade, and even newer systems may not have the required device present.

Microsoft said that TPM chip requirements for Windows 11 will start at TPM 1.2, thought TPM 2.0 is recommended.
