The latest virus going around is an "FBI Warning about potentially illegal activities, with a ~$200 fee to remove."

It is a pretty well built virus that comes with sound, locks out the task manager, and even loads up in safe mode. It has an 'authentic' look and feel to it, but do not fear -- The FBI will not be coming to your house.

Contraction seems to be from the usual methods: email, po*******hy, 'dodgy' sites, and the 'not-so-dodgy, but have dodgy links' type sites.

Online shoppers beware! It's getting closer to that time of year, when all the baddies try to steal your personal information to make you pay for their holiday shopping lists. Make sure that whenever, not just the holiday season, you make an online purchase, that you double-check that you are on a trustworthy website before you enter any personal information. Also, be careful on which you click, as the viruses will be bountiful!
