Our service hours are becoming more limited as we are beginning our retirement phase as more clients use phones for internet and desktops are fewer and far between. Starting Mid October 2025 we will be working on computers Tuesdays and Thursdays only. You can call 5 days a week and make an appointment if needed.

This is a photo of broken hinge screw mounts which sometimes happens on laptops. This causes extreme difficulty in opening and closing on one or both corners. Unfortunately, there is not an easy inexpensive fix for this. Dropping a bunch of glue on this keeps it from opening in the future!

As we approach Microsoft’s dropping of Support for Windows 10 in October 14, 2025, we have to face some options. We suggest that if your computer is incapable of running Windows 11, do not spend any additional substantial money on it.

We never know what kind of malaise will occur should you continue with Windows 10. If you do online banking of any type, be cautious here.

Any online site could be prone to malicious attack so make sure you have up-to-date anti-virus and malware products. We do not think Windows Defender will be kept current.

Many of the computers out there are 5 years old or greater and probably can have an enriched experience with fresh hardware and software. If you plan on doing this, try to purchase sooner than later as Oct 14 may have a mad rush on computers as people panic!

Phishing Schemes! They are coming to you via email, texts, and phone calls. Do not give anyone that calls you out of the blue any information. A lot of places look legitimate, but they are trying to get email or bank account info. You should ask for a phone number to get back to them. If they cannot provide it, then hang up!

Try not to respond to text messages or emails that contain links to crazy locations. If you have initiated the contact with a legitimate company and they send you an email link, that is ok.

Never verify and personal information based on a contact that you did not initiate. Sometimes PAYPAL may want to confirm that it is you that is trying to make payment.

Thought for the day. Do not give anyone a credit card number over the phone as the result of an unsolicited request to help you with computer issues! Never call 800 numbers on your screen that are the result of pop up’s.
