Today, with the heaviest of hearts the Twin Sis, Kerry, makes the birthday toast.

Kevin passed away this afternoon.

After a two week battle in the hospital, we are at peace knowing he died quickly and comfortably. His quality of life is restored and he celebrates #52 in heaven with loved ones, especially with our mom and dad.

Cheers to my twin, my brother and best friend. He made me laugh the hardest, always proved he was the smartest, talked the longest, and loved the deepest. We had an amazing bond that I will forever cherish and miss beyond measure. I know he will send down hugs from heaven everyday, when I least expect it, to make me smile. He had a gift for silly over sadness.

Well, Cat Fans, they say all good things must come to an end, and for me, that is my license with K-State. It just got to be too expensive and required too much effort to maintain the website, license, paperwork, etc.—considering the number sales and the time available to work on it after my full-time job. I do appreciate all of the support over the years.

I’m going to keep this page as a portfolio of my work. I might start sharing some of the work I’ve done/do at Katalyst Sign & Grafix, as well as just fun side projects (doodles, etc.). And, may even get back into doing some K-State themed designs—like the event Powercats—just for the fun of it and not for sale.

Stay tuned….

It's hard to believe it's been nineteen years now, and yet I still get teary-eyed recalling that tragic day. The images in my mind are as vivid as if it happened yesterday. The feelings of fear, helplessness, the overwhelming grief, and a million other emotions all come rushing back whenever I think about it, but especially today. We will never forget.

Today is International Left-Hander's Day. As a Lefty (& a K-Stater), I thought the day deserved to be recognized. You Right-Handers can consider it "Left-Handed Awareness Day", as you will never know what it's like to always smear ink when you write, crush your spiral notebook, have to contort to use a right-handed desk, risk serious injury just to use some power tools, or never be able to borrow a baseball glove or golf clubs.
