You Are Now Harder to Scam ..For 30 days, you learned to pause, protect your money, and protect your people. Keep the habits and keep teaching.

Don't Make It Easy for Them: the month's biggest lesson was learning to spot the scam, today you should pass that skill to one more person.

Think back: which day hit YOU hardest? The Mobile Money scams? The phone-theft steps? The code word?

Pick ONE person, your mum, brother, neighbor, market friend.
Teach them that one lesson simply, like talking to a friend.

Come back and comment: (1) which day helped you most, (2) who you taught — tag them if they're on Facebook!

A backup only protects you if it's secure, encrypted, kept separate, and tested, so ransomware can't wipe it too.

1. Keep 3 copies of important files, the original, a cloud backup, and a backup on an external drive.

2. Encrypt every backup: turn on encryption for cloud backups and password-protect the external drive, a stolen backup should be unreadable.

3. Keep one copy separate: store the drive away from your computer, in a different room or a trusted family home, so theft, fire, or ransomware can't take both.

4. Protect the backup account itself: give it a unique password and turn two-factor ON, if hackers get that account, they get the backup.

5. Test it today: restore one photo and one document. A backup you've never tested is a hope, not a backup.

Every skipped update is an open window hackers are already climbing through, one toggle closes it.

Set it once, stay safe forever:

1. Turn on auto-update: iPhone → Settings → General → Software Update → Automatic Updates ON.

2. Android → Settings → Software Update → Auto download over Wi-Fi ON.

3. Turn on auto app-updates in the Play Store / App Store (over Wi-Fi).

Data is tight? Connect to free Wi-Fi, plug in before bed, let everything update overnight, costs you nothing.

Don't fear the restart: "install tonight" is fine; your phone comes back in minutes, safer than before.

One leaked password should never open every door, a password manager ends reuse for good.

1. Protect the master key FIRST: change your EMAIL password to something unique you use NOWHERE else.

2. Use the free password manager already on your phone, iPhone: Settings → Passwords; Android: Settings → Google → Password Manager.

3. Or go old school: write different passwords in a notebook kept at home. Paper beats reuse.

4. Make passphrases you can remember: 4 random words: "mango bicycle river drum", easy for you, brutal for hackers.

The Family code word you set today is the only voice verification that still works.
Everything else can be faked.

Set this up with your parents tonight:

Pick ONE secret family code word, a favorite food, a childhood nickname. (Same idea as Day 13 — reuse it!)

The rule: anyone calls with a "family emergency" and can't say the word → hang up.

Hang up and call back on the number YOU already have. A real emergency survives one verification call.

Watch for the secrecy trick: "don't tell Mum and Dad" is how they stop you from checking.

Remember: AI can clone a voice from a short video ;"it sounded exactly like him" is NOT proof. The code word is.

Starting with you: parental controls aren't spying, they're attack-surface reduction for the smallest members of the family.

iPhone: Settings → Screen Time → Turn On → set a passcode only YOU know.

iPhone: Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → ON — block adult sites, require approval for new apps.

Android: install Google Family Link, connect your child's account — set filters from YOUR phone.

Set downtime hours (e.g. 9pm–6am) — the phone sleeps when they should.

Tell them WHY: "This protects you from bad people and bad content, not from having fun."

Panic is the scammer's favorite weapon

The five-step check takes it away.
Run this check before you click ANYTHING…

1. Stop and breathe: "urgent," "blocked," "final warning" are designed to make you click. Calm makes you safe.

2. Check the sender, real banks don't text from random personal numbers; one wrong letter in an email address is a giveaway.

3. Press and HOLD the link: it reveals the real address. win-secure-prize.xyz is NOT your provider's site.

4. Read it out loud, odd grammar, weird spacing, ALL-CAPS threats. Real companies don't write like that.

5. Verify through another door, open your real app or call the official number yourself. Never use the link in the message.

Sometimes, a half-price phone isn't a bargain, it's bait, verify before your money leaves your hands.

Run these 5 checks BEFORE you pay

1.Reverse-image-search the product on Google. photos — stolen photos from other sites = scammer.

2. Insist on meeting in person, in a public place. Refuses to meet or video-call? Walk away.

3. Never pay everything upfront "to reserve it" — pay on delivery, or a small deposit at most.

4. Spot the rush: "pay NOW, someone else wants it!", pressure is the trap. A real item waits till tomorrow.

5. Check the price: way below market isn't a bargain, it's bait. If you can't explain why it's cheap, don't buy.

Romance Scam😊 Fast Love + urgent money is the oldest script in the book.

Learn it, then break it by telling a friend.

5 checks before you send a single dollar

1. Demand a video call. No video call = no trust. Full stop.

2. Reverse-image-search their photos: Go to Google and Paste the photo, same face under a different name is stolen… therefore it is a scammer.

3. Watch the timeline: "in love" in days + an emergency right after (hospital bill, stranded trip) is likely a scam.

4. Tell a friend everything — scammers demand secrecy; break it today and ask "does this sound real?"

5. Never send money to someone you haven't met, not for a hospital, not for a flight, not "just once."
