While in Canada, yes, they served straws. Normally, the cylinder utensil was acquired upon request. I did not get any strange glares from the waiter and several times they brought me two straws: one for me and another for my spouse. I don’t recall my glass of soda having any bubbling effect when the paper straw was inserted into the freshly poured glass… Yeah, I am going to do my own test to prove this video right or wrong 🤓
