I personally think it's waaaay too early for pumpkin anything y'all. But I do understand the world of retail. So here are 2 new pieces for the pumpkin season.

Mixed Media in pink, white and gold, because that's trending... Available now at Shops of 607.

And a no sew quilt pumpkin, because they're fun. Headed to 607 next week, unless someone buys it first.

I've been renting booth space at Shops of 607 since February of 2023.

In June of 2023, we moved into our current location at 4416 Watson Blvd, Johnson City. It's just down the street from the Oakdale Mall (now Commons), across the viaduct.

Yesterday I finished a move to a new space within the Shop. We had a lot of fun doing the Upcycling thing, reworking the booth, giving it the Eltimar touch. I'm pleased with the space. I can't wait for y'all to see it.

I hope if you're in the JC area, you'll stop in to browse, not only my new space, but the Art Wall, and the Craft Closet.

In fact, if you're looking for a unique shopping experience, we have several vendors that offer wonderful gift items.

I'm always there on Wednesdays. 😎

2 more sleeps until Cortland Arts Connect sponsors Arts off Main!

What is it, you ask? It's a one day art festival on Court Street in Cortland. We actually shut down the street. And fill it with music, and art workshops, and art vendors, and demonstrations, and fun!

10 to 4.. rain or shine.. I vote shine.

I just have to show you some of the beautiful things I have with me so far for the raffle...

ANOTHER UPDATE:

If you have damage from the storm we had on July 18, and you want to help with our effort to obtain government assistance, please do this in the next little while...
Tally up your receipts. JUST the dollar value. Take that number to NBT Bank on Main St in Marathon.
Our friend, neighbor, and branch manager Kellie Givens has started a file folder.
There we will keep a running total of damages to our community.
With it being at the bank, it stays confidential, and should be official enough for any government entity.
When we've had a good response (and I'm counting on y'all folks), we can remake this morning's phone calls.. and hopefully get farther.
Will we get aid? I still don't know. But with numbers, we shed more light on the answers.

An update on my post from July 21. I have spoken with reps from the county and state level.
TBH, whether or not aid is coming is hazy. But again, I implore you, document everything, save all of your receipts. Disaster Aid is based on AMOUNT OF DAMAGE.
If we total up the Village and Town of Marathon, and surrounding hamlets (Lapeer and Killawog just to name two), we might be surprised at how much that total is, and we might just be eligible for something.
And like I told the county rep, if we're not eligible for aid - we'll just keep doing what we do - HELP each other out.
