Excited to share the latest work for Families First's Parenting Time program! After designing the Parenting Time logo earlier this year, it was great to put that brand to work across two new printed pieces: a trifold brochure and a companion single-page flyer.

The trifold is a full, engaging piece — warm family photography, clean infographics highlighting key Georgia legitimation statistics, a breakdown of all five program services, and a clear "Get Started Today" call to action complete with QR code and county availability. The single-page flyer distills all of that into a streamlined format perfect for waiting rooms, resource tables, and quick handoffs.

Both pieces carry the Parenting Time brand consistently throughout, making sure the program looks as professional and trustworthy as the work it does for Georgia families. Full writeup at the link below!

⚽️ The opening ceremony for the FIFA World Cup 2026 is tomorrow, and the branding has definitely had people divided… but honestly, that’s part of the fun!

At first glance, the logo feels almost too simple. But the real strength is the system behind it.
🌎 3 countries
🏟️ 16 host cities
⚽️ 48 teams

That’s a huge brand ecosystem to manage, and FIFA created something flexible enough for each city to have its own identity while still feeling connected to the tournament as a whole.

From a design perspective, that’s a pretty impressive assist.

The best branding systems don’t just look good in one place — they work everywhere.

Also, let’s be honest… the internet was going to red card this logo no matter what 😂

There’s a difference between trends that support a brand and trends that completely consume it.

A lot of businesses panic when their brand starts feeling “dated,” so they immediately start chasing whatever everyone else is doing:

💡 the same layouts
💡 the same typography
💡 the same style of content

And suddenly every brand starts looking suspiciously identical.

The problem is that trends move fast. Clarity and personality last longer.

The strongest brands usually aren’t the ones trying hardest to look current—they’re the ones that still feel recognizable even as things evolve around them.

Most people think a rebrand starts with a logo.

In reality, there's a lot of heavy lifting that needs to be done before the design process can even start.

What tends to come up first is everything underneath it—unclear messaging, a website that doesn’t guide people anywhere, or a brand that no longer reflects where the business actually is.

That’s usually what’s driving the need for change.

Design just makes those gaps more visible.

If you’re thinking about a rebrand, it’s worth asking: what’s actually not working right now?

If you want to see how that translates visually, you can take a look here:

Curious how your website is actually coming across to new visitors? Sometimes a second perspective helps.

There’s a difference between a website that looks impressive and a website that actually works.

Some of the most visually polished sites still struggle because they:

• overwhelm people with information
• lack clear direction
• prioritize aesthetics over usability

And no amount of “modern design” fixes confusion.

The strongest websites are usually the clearest ones.

I wrote about some of the biggest mistakes businesses make with their websites—and what actually helps improve engagement and conversion: https://brandondhunt.com/blog-post/what-most-businesses-get-wrong-about-their-website/

😅 Every designer has had this moment:

You spend hours refining a layout, adjusting spacing by 2 pixels, testing typography, balancing hierarchy…

…and the feedback is: “Can we make the logo bigger?”

And honestly? It’s usually coming from a good place.

Clients are thinking about visibility, recognition, and making sure their brand stands out—which is exactly what they should care about.

The interesting part of the process is finding the balance between what looks visually strong and what communicates clearly.

That’s usually where the best creative work happens: collaboration, perspective, and a lot of small decisions most people never notice.

Do you agree?

Excited to share a fun new project! 🌿 Doug Davis Design is a landscape design business with a truly unique specialty — every schematic Doug produces is drawn completely by hand. The brand identity needed to reflect that personal, artisan quality, and I think we nailed it.

The logo pairs his name in a flowing script font — giving it the feel of a personal signature — with a small illustration of a bush tucked right between "Doug" and "Davis," rendered in the exact style of a landscape schematic. It's a logo that doesn't just represent what he does — it actually looks like what he does.

Beyond the logo, the full project included business cards, a clean and personal website, and a launch announcement email to introduce the new brand to his network. It was a genuinely fun challenge to create something that felt this authentic to one person's craft. Full writeup at the link below!

Big news — a project I’ve been illustrating for quite a while is finally launching on Kickstarter today!

I was one of the two illustrators behind FloraVista, a beautifully designed game full of personality, detail, and a world that was incredibly fun to help bring to life.

As a designer, getting the chance to work on something this immersive is always exciting — especially when it blends storytelling, strategy, and visual world-building in such a creative way.

If you love indie games, illustration, or just supporting creative projects built by passionate people, I’d love for you to check it out and follow the launch.

The Kickstarter goes live today: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/faroutfox/floravista

Curate your own botanical garden with 120 beautifully illustrated plants from around the world in this cozy card game.

Most brands aren’t broken, they’re just unclear!

It shows up in small ways — headlines that don’t quite say anything, pages that feel busy but don’t guide you, messaging that sounds like it could belong to anyone.

And eventually it starts to look like a design issue, when it’s really a clarity issue.

🧠 Quick test: can someone land on your website and understand what you do in 5 seconds?

If not, that’s probably where the work starts.

Drop your site below or send it over — I’m always curious to see what people are building.
