For Southern Illinois Wireless Internet or 4SIWI,LLC is an internet service provider serving communities all over Southern Illinois. Primary focus of 4SIWI is to bring reliable High Speed Wireless Internet to areas that don't currently have access to broadband through conventional carriers like D

SL or cable. 4SIWI also operates a reliable Fiber Optic Internet system serving businesses in Marion. Computer repair, IT outsourcing, and wireless construction are also among the many services 4SIWI currently offers to businesses and residents in Southern Illinois. In 2007 the business was formed as a family endeavor and continues to this day to be family owned and operated.

We are hearing reports of an Illinois Statewide Verizon Wireless outage. This shouldn't have any affect on your 4SIWI Internet or Telephone.

As of early this morning (Sunday) all 4SIWI services were returned to normal.
Thursday evening a carrier equipment outage resulted in an extended outage that was affecting most customers in Franklin county. We were eventually able to reliably re-rout all the traffic through our microwave network. The network returned to normal mid day Friday.
A series of completely unrelated fiber cuts Saturday evening resulted in a total network outage for several hours rolling into Sunday morning. These events were far upstream of us and unfortunately beyond our control.
