NGC 4438, skillfully processed by Daniel Nobre is a peculiar galaxy located in the Virgo Cluster, about 50 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. It has a distorted, irregular shape, likely caused by gravitational interactions with nearby galaxies, such as NGC 4435.

This image was processed from a 31-hour, 40-minute LRGB data set captured with the remote AFIL-2 telescope. The full data set is available on Starbase at a 25% discount for a limited time.

The Flame Nebula (NGC 2024), brilliantly processed by Brian Diaz is a bright emission nebula located in the Orion constellation, near the star Alnitak, the easternmost star in Orion's Belt. It glows red due to ionized hydrogen gas energized by young, hot stars hidden within clouds of dust.

This cropped image was processed from the Orion's Belt image set, available on Starbase.
