Before you buy another computer. I have much experience with different Computer manufacturers, especially in the “after the sale” area. Most are difficult to navigate and impossible to reach. Dell has been the exception.
But, I want to share a current experience I have with Lenovo. A client brought a laptop to me recently that has no power. I researched and discovered a great (although expensive) warranty still in force. After diagnosis, the Lenovo Premier Support Team created a work order with Worldwide Tech Services.
The initial appointment was for 9-12 yesterday morning, then was changed to 12-3pm, then 3-5. After calling the main dispatch, 30 minutes to an hour after the apppt was missed, not one person ever apologized. They would simply say the appt was moved to a later time. I finally had dispatch connect me with the tech, who gave excuses and said he would try to make it by 5pm (yesterday), but would call before if that would not work. He also said he would be here at 8am (today) if he could not make the 5pm. So far, no calls, no repair, no nothing.
I reached out to Lenovo Premier Support 4 times, and at least they were apologetic and promised to do something about the situation. No results. The last promised appt was 12:10pm with no show and no communications.

So, beware of expensive warranties and expensive computers. Just about any computer from any company can break. Do your homework first. My experience with Lenovo is not good and don’t even get me started on BestBuy!

Like I said earlier, in my 25 years of experience with Dell, they have been consistent in repairs and in support. Sherwin Finch

If our computer is running slow or crashing, due to overheating, the thermal paste on your processor heat sync may need refreshing.

GoDaddy email users beware! I have had 2 clients this week hacked while using email on godaddy server. When they call godaddy, they are offered an upgrade option. One client received a quote of $1,200, while my other client was told that his email ran on a 30 year old server.

If you stop and think about it, there were no such servers for consumer email 30 years ago, a 30 year old server would occupy a city block to handle even a fraction of the volume for godaddy email users, why would ANY reputable company run anything on a 30 years old server.

So, if you run your business email on a godaddy server, please consider an alternative. I recommend Microsoft Exchange or Office365 Premuim. Message me for more details or a security scan/cleanup of your systems.
