DCSA’s August Voice of Industry includes several updates that belong on the September security calendar.

Mike’s latest VOI Takeaway organizes them into five priorities and four dates to track. This covers Rap Back follow-through, review readiness, black-label equipment, NAESOC routing, and DISS/NBIS Agency transition milestones. It also examines the FY26 Q3 adjudication pressure point.

PerSecPros is continuing our Meet the Team series with Danielle, a Service Desk Professional who has been part of our team for three years.

In her role, Danielle assists clients with their everyday needs and provides the support and guidance they need to remain compliant. By answering questions, addressing concerns, and keeping requests moving forward, she plays an important role in delivering the dependable service our clients count on each day. Her connection to personnel security also runs in the family, as her mom works in the field too.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys building LEGO sets and watching true crime shows. Dancing has been part of her life since she was three. She and her husband, Peyton, have taken several ballroom dance classes together.

We’re grateful for the commitment and energy Danielle has brought to our clients and team over the past three years.

This week we are excited to introduce Andrea Corum, one of our newer members of the team. She has already become a valued part of the work we do each day, bringing a positive attitude and steady support to the team.

What sets Andrea apart is her distinctive background in federal contract administration, which allows her to navigate security requirements across the full contract lifecycle. As a former GS-1102 Contract Specialist and a Certified Contract Management Associate, she is fluent in contract administration, contract security requirements, and how security obligations flow through the acquisition lifecycle, giving her the ability to engage credibly with all levels of client support.

A detail-oriented professional committed to elevating contractor compliance and supporting organizational missions, Andrea is a great addition to the team as we continue helping our clients move forward. Her security expertise is current and hands-on, but the instincts underneath it were built over years across industries.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys gardening and spending time hiking when she gets the chance. Whether she is growing something new at home or exploring a new trail, she carves her own path!

A successful system transition depends on more than a go-live date. It requires clear ownership, completed actions, and a security team that understands what changes in the day-to-day workflow.

With DISS Initiate & Review functionality now live for Industry, this is the time to resolve open eApp items and align internal procedures for the remaining transition. PerSecPros helps cleared contractors turn changing DCSA guidance into clear, practical, inspection-ready action. See the accompanying graphic for key transition milestones and the action clients should take now.

The riskiest security moment is rarely the one you planned for.

For non-possessing facilities, having no approved classified storage does not eliminate security risk. Retained material may surface. A reporting issue may expose gaps in documentation or employee response.

Security readiness is not just about what you possess. It is about what you can prove, how quickly you respond, and whether your team knows the next step. Build the playbook before the incident.

PerSecPros provides hands-on FSO support to help cleared contractors strengthen their security programs and stay prepared for the unexpected. Learn more at https://www.persecpros.com/

This week, we’re excited to introduce Kyle, a valued member of the PerSecPros Service team.

Coming up on his 3rd year, Kyle has helped support the day-to-day work that keeps our clients moving forward. His adaptability, attention to detail, and strong work ethic make him an important part of our team and the service we provide.

Outside of work, one of Kyle's favorite pastimes is playing golf. Some of the team even gets together for a round at Cress Creek from time to time.

We’re grateful to have Kyle on the PerSecPros team and appreciate the steady support he brings to the work we do every day.

From security briefings to birdie putts, our team knows how to stay on course.

Two members of the PerSecPros team recently traded their usual fairways for the legendary links of Ireland. Between the scenery, memorable rounds, and enough coastal wind to make every club selection feel like a risk assessment, they had an unforgettable trip.

Their adventure is also a timely reminder that our security responsibilities travel with us.

For cleared personnel subject to SEAD 3, unofficial foreign travel should be reported to the appropriate FSO or security office before departure. Travelers should also follow their organization’s procedures for reporting itinerary changes, unplanned foreign contacts, unusual or suspicious events, and foreign legal or customs incidents after returning.

A little planning protects the traveler, the organization, and the mission while keeping the journey enjoyable.

Great teams work hard, travel smart, and occasionally try to avoid the bunkers.

PerSecPros reviewed the latest DCSA Voice of Industry Newsletter and recent NCMS updates. Several changes require attention from FSOs and security teams, including the return of I/R/A functionality to DISS, early adoption of PVQ, updated DCSA credentials for official visits, and an enhanced Security Review Rating Score Tool.

These updates will affect visitor verification, DISS access, personnel vetting workflows, and security review preparation. New initiations in NBIS Agency will end on September 30, followed by the system shutdown on November 30. Teams should begin reviewing active cases, permissions, SOPs, trackers, and internal job aids now.

Mike’s Takeaway:
This is a transition-management checkpoint for cleared industry. FSOs should confirm DISS permissions before I/R/A actions fully return to the system. They should also identify any active cases that may be affected by the NBIS Agency deadlines.

Visitor control procedures should be updated to reflect the new DCSA credentials. The revised Security Review Rating Score Tool can also help teams identify documentation gaps before the next review. Small process gaps now can lead to delays, confusion, or rework later.

PerSecPros will continue helping cleared contractors turn DCSA updates into practical action so security programs remain prepared, compliant, and mission-ready.
