When 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 was founded, one of our core goals was to build trust — not just through technology, but through 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.

That goal became reality this month.

We are proud to share that 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 published a study by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐲𝐟𝐭𝐞, 𝐀𝐮𝐃, CCC-A,𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆𝘺, one of the nation’s top audiology programs.

The article, “𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒆𝒍 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑺𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: 𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑼𝒑𝒐𝒏 𝑯𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒄 𝑺𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔,” highlights how Purdue’s Hearing Conservation Program evolved through innovation, education, and technology.

Among the most significant updates to their program was the adoption of Soundtrace audiometers and software — a change that:

🟢 Reduced hearing test times from 𝟑𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟔 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬
🟢 Improved employee compliance to over 𝟗𝟕%
🟢 Eliminated manual data entry errors
🟢 Continued to give AuD students meaningful hands-on experience in hearing conservation.

🎸 Meet 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞, one of the talented minds behind Soundtrace.

A lifelong musician, 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 has seen firsthand how hearing loss can change lives, especially for those whose careers and passions depend on sound. That experience fuels his dedication to Soundtrace’s mission: preventing hearing loss in the workplace.

One of the projects Patrick is most proud of is our system for managing STS Review cases. Before this feature, case details were handled through endless email chains between users, audiologists, and managers making it easy for critical information to get lost.

Now, those conversations live in one place, giving everyone full visibility and ensuring no case falls through the cracks. The result: employees who experience hearing changes on the job receive timely attention and care to protect their hearing — and their quality of life.

We’re grateful for Patrick’s contributions and proud to have him on the Soundtrace team. 🌟

Employers can now easily request 𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐀-𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, without relying on booths or clinics, thanks to UniFirst’s on-site testing managed directly by their safety representatives.
