Excelsior is committed to creating an inviting, family friendly, and game oriented atmosphere while promoting social interaction among people with the intention of bringing them together using games as a foundation of fun." When customers walk through the doors of Excelsior they will be greeted with a question. This greeting is intended to politely challenge our customers to partake in one of the

many games we sell. In accepting that challenge, we feel, our customers are allowing themselves to be exposed to the fun filled world of games as well as engage in social interaction with one of our highly skilled Gamemasters. Escapism through fun with others being one of the many. Fun is the foundation of games. Games offer many things to many people. Escape, experience, relaxation, and social bonding. Being able to balance the stresses of life with the fun of games allows for an overall increase in the quality of life. Social interaction is in the nature of humankind. For thousand of years people have been asking each other "Shall We Play a Game?" and we gladly continue this social tradition at Excelsior Gaming Lounge

You have been asking, and here it is! We finally have a weekly summer kid's Dungeons and Dragons program starting next week and have open slots!

From our DM:

"Howdy parents! I'm Malcolm, an educator at Framingham High School, and a Dungeon Master! If your kid is looking for some D&D hijinks this summer with their peers, I am putting together a party of 6 (ages 10-16) adventurers for a summer of adventuring! The adventuring will take place on Tuesdays (and/or Wednesdays if there's two parties) at 4pm to 7pm, from July 20th to August 11th!

The adventure will be tailored to the characters we build, so this will not be an Adventurer's League experience, but one that will engage the players in a story they build!

All experience levels are welcome! We will be starting at level 3! Parents are allowed to sit in, even participate if they want. We're looking to make this a minimal technology experience, so we will be using pencil and paper for character management. All materials (including dice) will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own!"

This event is a paid event, $15 a session per child, which all goes to our Dungeon Master.

Folks should be showing up around 4:30 for free play. We have some spare starter decks, and the Proving Grounds to teach you how to play. Plus, we have some odds and ends to throw at folks for giving the game a shot!
