The new Apple TV 4K is here — and it’s smarter than ever!

Apple just dropped the all-new Apple TV 4K (4th generation), and the big star is Siri AI.

Here’s what’s new and exciting:

Siri AI – A more capable, conversational Siri powered by Apple Intelligence. Ask things like “What Apple TV shows won Emmys this year?” or “Where was that show filmed?” and get full-screen results with poster art and smart suggestions. It even understands personal context when paired with your iPhone.

Hands-free control – Three far-field microphones built right into the box mean you can talk to Siri from across the room without touching the remote.

A19 chip – Up to 50% faster CPU and 2x faster GPU performance for snappier navigation, smoother animations, and better streaming.

Immersive surround sound – Pair it with four HomePod mini 2 (or HomePod 2) speakers for true four-speaker surround audio.

Smarter Siri Remote – Now with Find My + Precision Finding, plus a built-in speaker so you can make it play a sound when it disappears into the couch cushions.

This is the biggest upgrade to Apple TV in years — turning your living room into a smarter, more immersive entertainment hub.

Connecting Point is the only Apple Premier Partner with more than 50 years serving Southern Oregon. Come see the new Apple TV 4K in person, get honest advice on the best setup for your home, and let our team help you get everything configured perfectly.

That moment when your iPhone slips… and the screen shatters. We’ve all been there.

A cracked screen is more than just ugly. It’s hard to swipe, texts look distorted, and those sharp edges can actually cut your fingers. Super frustrating.

Tempted to try a cheap DIY kit? We get it — but it’s risky. You can easily damage the camera, Face ID, or other delicate components, lose water resistance, end up with touch issues or weird colors… or worse. And if it goes wrong, you’ve spent more time and money than you saved.

Replacing the whole phone just for a broken screen? That’s $800–$1,200+ these days. Ouch.

The smarter move: let the pros handle it.

At Connecting Point, we use high-quality genuine Apple parts, repair it quickly and safely, and get your iPhone looking and working like new again — without the headaches or huge cost.

And great news — we can now service the brand-new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max too!

Is Upgrading to iOS 27 Worth It?

Hi Southern Oregon! Apple’s iOS 27 is here, and the big question on everyone’s mind is: Should you update?

Short answer: For most people, yes. It’s a free update that brings meaningful improvements, especially if you have a compatible iPhone (iPhone 11 and newer). The headline is a much smarter Siri, but there are plenty of everyday upgrades that make the whole experience smoother and more useful.

Key New Features in iOS 27
Siri AI (the biggest change)

Completely rebuilt, more conversational Siri that understands personal context (your messages, emails, photos, etc.)
On-screen awareness and deeper app actions
Dedicated Siri app so you can revisit conversations and sync them across devices
Available on iPhone 15 Pro / 15 Pro Max and all iPhone 16 models and later (with even stronger on-device models on newer phones)
Photos

Spatial Reframing – Adjust the composition of a photo after it’s taken by virtually changing the camera position
Extend – Intelligently expand images beyond their edges with realistic AI fill (great for Lock Screen wallpapers or reframing)
Improved Clean Up tool that handles larger/more complex distractions better
Performance Boosts

Apps launch up to 30% faster
New photos appear in your library up to 70% faster
AirDrop transfers up to 80% faster
Design & Customization

Liquid Glass refinements with a new slider to adjust transparency (from ultra-clear to fully tinted)
Extra-large widgets on the Home Screen
Sharper app icons and better contrast
Child Safety & Screen Time

Easier setup for kids’ accounts (choose exactly which apps they can use)
“Ask to Browse” – parents approve websites before kids can visit them
Expanded Communication Safety protections
Time Allowances and better schedules for Entertainment, Games, and Social Media
Other Notable Upgrades

Smarter Mail search, better Smart Reply that matches your writing style, and third-party app suggestions
Natural-language reminders and calendar entries
Safari automatic tab grouping by topic
Visual Intelligence in the Camera app (point at a receipt to split the bill, analyze labels, etc.)
New Shortcuts features (create shortcuts with natural language)
Extra controls in Camera, improved slideshows, and more
Bottom line: If your iPhone is supported, the free update is worth it for the speed improvements alone—plus the new Siri and Photos tools if your device supports Apple Intelligence. Older supported iPhones still get lots of the non-AI features and the performance boosts.
