National Disability Employment Awareness Month may be coming to an end, but our commitment to recognizing value, talent, and potential continues all year long.

At Onebridge Center, we help participants build skills, pursue their goals, and discover opportunities to be active and valued members of their communities.

Throughout the year, we support participants as they:
Build digital skills
Develop workplace skills
Strengthen communication and social skills
Work toward individualized goals
Participate in their communities
Build confidence and independence

NDEAM gives us an opportunity to shine a spotlight on disability employment and the contributions of people with disabilities. But inclusion, opportunity, and recognizing talent shouldn't be limited to one month.

The Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) website offers employers information and resources to support inclusive hiring, workplace accessibility, disability awareness training, and employee accommodations. Employers can also explore the Inclusive Employer Toolkit for guidance on recruiting, hiring, and retaining employees with disabilities.

For some people, the journey may begin with learning daily living skills. For others, it may begin with developing communication, digital, or workplace skills.

At Onebridge Center, participants can work toward their goals through individualized supports and hands-on learning experiences.

As skills and confidence grow, new opportunities can become possible.

The important thing is not how quickly someone reaches their goal.
The important thing is continuing to move forward.

The path to success isn't always a straight line. Sometimes, reaching a goal means trying a different approach, learning a new skill, or finding another way forward.

At Onebridge Center, we recognize that everyone's journey is different. Through individualized support, hands-on learning, and skill development, we help participants discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and continue working toward their goals.

Technology is part of today's workplace—and digital skills can open new doors.
Through DigiSkills at Onebridge Center, participants can build skills in areas such as:

Microsoft Office
Keyboarding
Graphic design
Google Workspace
Digital communication
Workplace technology
Workplace readiness

Participants can learn at their own pace while receiving instructor support and opportunities to practice their skills.

At Onebridge Center, learning doesn’t always happen sitting at a desk.

Participants have opportunities to practice skills through community activities, hands-on projects, job-related tasks, and experiences in real-world settings.

Whether it’s practicing communication, handling money, following directions, using technology, completing a task, or working as part of a team, each experience can help build confidence and independence.

Small steps can lead to bigger opportunities.

People with disabilities bring a wide range of skills, interests, experiences, and talents to the workplace.

At Onebridge Center, we focus on the individual, not a label.

We help participants identify their strengths, build new skills, and work toward meaningful goals that can help them participate more fully in their communities and the workforce.

Our Onebridge Center participants recently took part in a Tech Fair. Some participants worked at the event, while others attended as visitors to explore and learn about the technology available to support greater independence.

The Tech Fair showcased how assistive technology and remote support can help individuals with developmental disabilities:
🔹 Increase independence
🔹 Improve quality of life
🔹 Access and participate in their communities
🔹 Create new opportunities for connection and participation

We were excited to see our participants taking part in the event in different ways, working, learning, exploring, and discovering new possibilities.

At Onebridge Center, we believe that having access to the right tools and supports can help individuals build confidence, increase independence, and be more active in their communities.
